The Kings have activated defenseman Viatcheslav Voynov from the injured non-roster list and assigned him to Manchester of the American Hockey League.
Voynov, 20, missed all of training camp while recovering from shoulder surgery. He was a second-round pick, 32nd overall, in the 2008 entry draft.
Manchester, incidentally, is two games into its season and is 1-1. Erik Ersberg has the win and Jeff Zatkoff the loss. Defenseman Thomas Hickey has no points and is a team-worst minus-4 defensively so far. The top scorers are Dwight King and David Meckler, each with two goals and three points. John Zeiler also has three points, all on assists.
