His most important statistic is not his scoring average. Not his free-throw percentage. Not his rebounds or blocks per game. None of that.
His best stat is 4.2. As in his grade-point average.
Hollis Thompson -- the 6-foot-8 Loyola junior with an A-plus average -- will be heading to a Holy Land of college hoops ... Georgetown.

Why all the suitors? Court success combined with classroom finesse. In other words, a talented athlete with a 4.2 GPA. Remember that stat; it’s the most important one.
