Thanks to Casi Komski’s huge three-pointer with just over a minute to go and a couple of successful free throws by the 5-foot-8 point guard, Santa Clara edged Oaks Christian, 67-64, in a key Tri-Valley League matchup tonight/Monday. Oaks Christian’s Matt Johnson hit an ear-piercing three-pointer (lots of high-pitched screamers in the audience tonight) with 6.3 seconds left, but a successful Saints’ inbound pass to Randi Vines allowed the fouled QB-turned-forward the chance to sink a couple of free throws to put the game away.
I’ll have more on this one soon.
