It didn’t take long for No. 3 Crespi to send a message that it intends to give top-ranked Sherman Oaks Notre Dame all it can handle.
The Celts scored two runs in the first inning off Nik Rodarte, getting RBI singles from Jeremy Rodriguez and Zack Wiley as part of a four-hit attack.
Crespi (20-5, 9-1) needs a victory to pull into a tie for first place in the Mission League with the Knights (22-2, 10-0).
