La Canada’s John Geyer became only the seventh diver in Southern Section history to capture three consecutive divisional titles when he scored a championship-winning mark of 592.60 at the Division II championships Tuesday.

Unfortunately, Geyer was a tad bit disappointed he couldn’t beat the division record of 640.95 set by his Trojan Dive Club coach, Louis Gagnet, in 2001. But Geyer shouldn’t be too upset since he still has a chance to best the mark next year.
