Football: Compton gets onto the scoreboard

Quarterback Jerry Maluia ran four yards for a touchdown, allowing Compton to close to within 18-7 of Long Beach Poly with 6:39 left in the second quarter.

Poly could have wrapped up this game, but the Jackrabbits were stopped on the one-yard line without scoring. And later, they lost the ball on a fumble, giving Compton the field position it needed.
