Boys’ basketball: Never seen that before

Westchester scored the first two points of tonight’s Southern California Division I regional championship at Pauley Pavilion without any time coming off the clock.

King’s Adam Smith was called for a technical foul before the game even began. Not sure what that was all about. Maybe a uniform malfunction? Will have to check at halftime.

Jordin Mayes made both of the technical free throws and Westchester has taken an early 6-0 lead.
