Mission Hills Alemany has received a letter of reprimand from the Southern Section for promoting its football program with a paid advertisement in violation of Southern Section rules.
Southern Section Commissioner Jim Staunton said Alemany ran a full-page advertisement in The Signal, but it was a paragraph about the football program that was in violation of Southern Section rules.
The school has been given a one-year sanction in that any athlete who transfers for football will be deemed as ineligible pending approval by Staunton.
