Carson immediately learned that a small mistake can have drastic consequences.

Narbonne may learn that lesson torward the end of the game.

The Gauchos are leading 6-0 with 8:19 remaining in the first quarter after senior tailback Melvin Davis ran in for a 5-yard touchdown. The score concluded a seven-play, 55-yard drive that also featured three penalties from Carson.

A botched snap prevented the Gauchos converting on the extra point. It will be interesting to see if that mistake becomes costly.
