Taijuan Walker was pulled in the fourth after a walk and hit batter to start the inning. He walked four in three innings and did not resemble the pitcher who beat No. 2-seeded Encino Crespi, 3-1, and Santa Barbara, 3-0, in the playoffs.
Joseph Woodward put down a bunt single that was thrown away to score one run. Then Clinton Harwick delivered a two-run single off Pedro Cota.
