Woodland Hills El Camino Real is the latest school to get approval for a new synthetic turf sports field. Construction will begin on Aug. 2 and could be finished by early November, according to assistant athletic director Vinnie Orlando.
The school will play its home football games this season at Pierce College.
The all-weather field should be helpful for the Conquistadores’ powerful boys’ and girls’ soccer programs, not to mention create more playing opportunities for youth programs in the West San Fernando Valley.
