Football: Riverside North places its trust in Justin Gheorghe

Unbeaten Riverside North (4-0) faces Corona Centennial (3-1) on Friday night in a huge Big VIII League showdown, and the team has lots of confidence in senior quarterback Justin Gheorghe.

Gheroghe was an outfielder for North’s Division I championship baseball team and also plays basketball. He’s an honor student who takes charge on the football field.

North is having a resurgence under second-year Coach Mark Paredes, who had success at La Puente Bishop Amat and later at North during the 1990s.
