Pasadena : Judge in Dispute With D.A. to Be Transferred
- Share via
Superior Court Judge G. Kenneth Wisot, who has been prevented from trying the juvenile cases he is assigned, will be transferred from Pasadena Superior Court within a few days. The presiding judge of county Superior Courts, Thomas Johnson, announced the decision to transfer Wisot and said it is not a disciplinary action.
For several months the district attorney’s office in Pasadena has filed affidavits that prevent Wisot from trying juvenile cases, claiming the judge has been lenient in many of his decisions. Wisot has denied the claims and has been backed by other Pasadena judges.
His new post will be announced in a few days, Johnson said.
