PARIS — A new French newspaper, Paris Ce Soir, was published Monday, with Michel Jobert, former minister in governments of both the left and the right, as its main writer.
He said in his first editorial that people have had enough of the prefabricated daily battles between right and left.
The evening newspaper, owned and edited by industrialist Pierre Plancher, a supporter of Jobert, is designed to give a centrist view independent of the political opinions that color much of the French press.
