The manager of a San Juan Capistrano liquor store was robbed of his car keys, wallet and an estimated $300 by two masked bandits, a sheriff’s spokesman said Wednesday.
Ghassan Saba, 23, whose father owns the Alipaz Liquor store, had locked up about 9 p.m. and carried out with him a bottle of liquor and a bag with about $300 in store proceeds, according to Sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson.
When he got to the parking lot, two men wearing dark clothing and ski masks demanded the money and other items, Olson said. After Saba handed them over, the pair left on foot through the parking lot.
One robber was armed with a handgun, Olson said, but Saba was not harmed.
