Robinson Takes Sedillo’s Title

Grover (Torpedo) Robinson of Fremont knocked Mike Sedillo of Chino down in the seventh round and then coasted to a unanimous decision, unseating Sedillo as the Stroh’s light-heavyweight champion in a 12-round bout at the Forum Wednesday night.
Robinson, 171, improved his record to 27-11 while handing Sedillo, 172 1/2, his first defeat in 12 fights.
In a junior-middleweight bout, Bert Lee, 156, of Corona won a third-round technical decision when he was butted by Earnest Rabotte, 156, of Long Beach. Lee was ahead on points at the time.
In a six-round cruiserweight bout, Larry Phelps, 186, of Palmdale won a unanimous decision over John Smith, 188, of San Bernardino.
