An L.A. firm agreed to acquire four hospitals.

Under the agreement, Los Angeles-based National Medical Enterprises Inc. would acquire from United Medical Enterprises Ltd. of London a 40-bed hospital and three others under development in the United Kingdom. No purchase price was given for the deal, which has been approved by the boards of both firms.
