Stanton Man in Serious but Stable Condition After Being Shot 5 Times

A Stanton man was in serious but stable condition Thursday after being shot five times in the face, elbow and upper neck, police said.
William Ken Barnett, 26, was wounded following an argument with an “unknown assailant” who was armed with what investigators believe to be a .38-caliber gun, Stanton Police Sgt. Don Creel said.
Police would not say where Barnett was hospitalized, citing a concern for his safety.
Creel said officers found Barnett in the living room of his apartment near Garden Grove and Beach boulevards about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, shortly after neighbors reported shots being fired.
Police do not have a description of the assailant, Creel said.
