Republican Called Winner of Indiana Seat in Recount

INDIANAPOLIS — Republican Richard McIntyre is the certified 418-vote winner of the 8th Congressional District election and the House should seat him, Indiana Secretary of State Edwin Simcox said Tuesday in announcing his approval of a vote recount.
McIntyre defeated Democratic Rep. Frank McCloskey in the November election but has not yet been seated.
