Wrestling Championships Begin in Southern Section

The CIF Southern Section wrestling championships will begin today, with the 4-A division at Fountain Valley High School, the 3-A at Redondo, the 2-A at Rowland and 1-A at Azusa.
Wrestling at each site will start at 3 p.m. and will continue until 10, then will be resumed Saturday at 11 a.m. Championship matches are set for 7 p.m.
The 4-A and 3-A will send its top five finishers to the Masters competition Feb. 23 at Westminster. The 2-A will send four and the 1-A two.
