A man fell 25 feet to his death Thursday from scaffolding attached to a building under construction in Van Nuys, the Los Angeles city Fire Department said.
The victim, whose name and age were not immediately known, fell off the two-story commercial building being built by the Jayport Development Corp. near the intersection of West Sherman Way and Sepulveda Boulevard, department spokesman Jim Wells said. Paramedics found the victim dead at the scene when they arrived at 6:40 p.m., Wells said.
A police spokesman at the scene said he did not know whether the victim was a construction worker.
