Productive Cuban Milk Cow Dead at 13

HAVANA — The prodigious Cuban milk cow Ubre Blanca (White Udder), once listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most productive in the world, has been put to death because of old age, the newspaper Granma reported Thursday.
The 13-year-old cow, which produced more than 26.4 gallons of milk in one day three years ago, was a national institution here, and Granma said its body would be stuffed and put on display in a museum.
