A European steel pipe dispute was resolved.

Officials said in Washington that an agreement between the United States and the Common Market clears the way for about 209,000 metric tons of pipe and tube, exported to the United States by European steelmakers during a temporary U.S. embargo period late last year, to be delivered by steel importers to their customers. The agreement calls for part of the shipment to be charged against the 1985 quota, with the balance to be charged against the 1986 quota.
