Scholarship Awards Boosted:Funding for the 1985 Orange County Leadership Awards, sponsored by the Irvine Co. for outstanding high school students, will be increased to $55,000, a boost of $30,000. Company President Thomas H. Nielsen said the additional money will provide $500 for each of the 60 students nominated for the top five scholarships. The five finalists will receive $3,000 awards, and 10 semifinalists each will receive $1,000.
