A one-year contract has been signed by Carson’s recently selected city administrator.
John Dangleis, 53, will be paid $72,000 to fill the top post until March, 1986. He also will be provided the use of an automobile and city benefits such as sick leave and vacation time.
Dangleis, a former Azusa administrator, was offered the Carson position last month after serving for 2 1/2 months as interim administrator. Carson’s former administrator, Raymond Meador, left the city in early November after his resignation was forced by the City Council.
Dangleis’ contract may be extended beyond its expiration date if both parties reach agreement on the matter before January, 1986.
