RALEIGH, N.C. — Attorneys for Jeffrey MacDonald, a former Green Beret doctor who last week was denied a new trial for the murders of his pregnant wife and two young daughters, said Thursday that they have filed a notice of appeal.
MacDonald is serving three life sentences for his 1979 convictions of murdering his wife and daughters at their Ft. Bragg apartment in 1970. The appeal notice was filed in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.
