San Diego police, culminating a 2 1/2-month undercover investigation, arrested two operators of a Gaslamp Quarter liquor store Wednesday on suspicion of dealing in stolen property. Members of the Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit and Downtown Tactical Unit said they recovered two cases of suspected stolen liquor after raiding Mr. O’s Liquors, 771 5th Ave. Officers also searched the suspects’ home in Bonita. Arrested were Kwang Ho Kim, 45, and Dong Am Yi, 42. Detectives said the liquor store also was a fencing operation, buying stolen cases of alcoholic beverages and stereo equipment. The investigation was part of the Police Department’s effort to rid the Gaslamp Quarter of criminal activity, detectives said.
