Construction has begun here on a 52,000-square-foot surgical wing at Methodist Hospital of Southern California. The $12.8-million facility will house a new inpatient surgical suite and outpatient service areas. The hospital has received a $750,000 challenge grant from the W. M. Keck Foundation for the building, which is scheduled for completion in late 1986 or early 1987.
