Man Lost in River After Boat Explosion

DETROIT — The Coast Guard searched the Detroit River for 2 1/2 hours Sunday before suspending its hunt for a man reported missing in a pleasure boat explosion that injured eight persons.
About 10 private vessels helped rescue the injured Saturday when the boat exploded near Fighting Island, on the Canadian side of the waterway, Petty Officer Dan Guay said.
