An employee was slightly injured while battling an industrial fire in the warehouse of Gabriel Container Co., a cardboard box manufacturer, on Miller Grove Street in Santa Fe Springs. About 85 firefighters and 18 engine companies responded to the fire. The intensity of the flames and heavy smoke slowed fire-fighting efforts, officials said. No damage estimate was available.
