Saving the Lawn

Sam Kaplan’s library article (April 21) presents a very valid point in reference to the small green space around the library, and we applaud him for fighting to save every inch of green in the city. As we were not mentioned, we did want you to know that Los Angeles Beautiful was one of the “public spirited” organizations that has fought to save this lawn and open space for years.

We did lose the fight to save the space they took for the parking lot, and do hope the plan is carried out to establish this as a park. It would be wonderful!

Let’s keep up the good fight!
