50 Feared Drowned

DHAKA, Bangladesh — At least 50 people were believed drowned after a ferry capsized Wednesday in the Meghna River near the town of Chandpur in eastern Bangladesh, officials said. Preliminary reports said the ferry was carrying about 250 passengers but that as many as 200 swam ashore.
