Metropolitan Life bought Goldman, Sachs’ building.

Metropolitan Life Insurance agreed to pay the investment banking and brokerage firm $310 million in cash while leasing the headquarters building in New York’s financial district back to Goldman, Sachs & Co., which will continue to manage the building. The 2-year-old, 30-story building at 85 Broad St. houses 2,500 Goldman, Sachs employees. Metropolitan has some $20 billion invested in real estate.
