Southern California College won the NAIA Area One championship with a 8-6 victory over Linfield College of Oregon Saturday at Southern California College in Costa Mesa.
Titus Houston singled with the bases loaded in the eighth inning to drive in the winning runs for the Vanguards (43-18-2), who advance to the NAIA World Series at Lewis Clark State College, Lewiston, Idaho, May 27-June 1. SCC will face Phillips College (50-16) of Oklahoma.
