N.Y. Soprano Wins Top Honors

Soprano Andrea Cawelti of New York has taken top honors at the 13th Loren L. Zachary Society Opera Awards National Auditions at Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena.

Second place went to Robynne Redmon, a mezzo-soprano from Chicago ($2,700); Deborah Voigt, a soprano from Anaheim, won third place ($2,000), and Rebecca Sherburn, a soprano from La Canada, finished fourth ($1,500).
