Anti-nuclear demonstrators sprawled in the street and were hauled away in police vans in New London, Conn., when they tried to disrupt the commissioning of the Alabama, the nation’s sixth Trident submarine. Thirty-five persons were arrested after lying down in front of buses carrying guests to the ceremonies.
