Taking Sides on Abortion Issue
The fact that some scientists and some men of law say that a fetus is not a baby does not make it so; Gerber’s statement does not make it so! What men do or fail to do does not make right their mistakes.
His comparison of a fetus with an appendix, a tumor, or an amputated toe to be disposed of in the refuse is the meanest kind of statement anyone could make.
The article by Thomas puts the whole issue in perspective by stating, “Now is the time for the judges and the legislators to develop some backbone and lead for a change instead of following close behind the spirit of the age.” He points out the valid reasons for doing away with abortion.
