Women Coal Miners Will Learn About Advancement

PRICE, Utah — More than 200 women coal miners will attend the Coal Employment Project’s seventh annual national convention Friday through Sunday at the College of Eastern Utah.
A spokesman said the convention has several goals, including determining ways to improve safety in underground coal mines and to show women miners how to move up the management ladder into jobs as foremen and supervisors.
