Scandals’ Fund-Raiser Set for Monday Night

The L.A. Scandals, a non-profit organization of women football players, will hold a fund-raiser at 8 p.m. Monday at Myron’s Ballroom in Los Angeles.

The unconvential fund-raiser for this unusual team will feature kissing booths (for men and women), a best buns and wet T-shirt contest as well as dancing and a full bar.

“We need money to help us purchase uniforms,” said Tina Bonnenfant. “Although we are a charitable organization, there are equipment fees that must be paid.”

The Scandals, which was organized less than three months ago, is the only female football team that plays against male teams in tackle football. Proceeds from their games go to charities chosen by team members.

There will be at least three leagues for athletes between 6 and 13 years old. To register for the program, every child must have a parent or legal guardian fill out a registration card. All registrants will be placed on a team--and will be assured of playing in every game.
