Officials in London, England have decided to bid for the 1992 Olympics. The bid will go in with that of Birmingham and Manchester and a decision will be made by the British Olympic Assn. July 12. Britain’s nominee will then go to the International Olympic Committee’s meeting to compete with bids from Barcelona, Paris, Brisbane and a joint nomination by Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
