Your editorial (July 7), “Eye-to-Eye With Gophers,” on our deficit problem is being mailed to President Reagan with the hope that he will read it and profit by it by lifting the curtain of the window of his stubborn stand and allow the sunshine of reduced spending and a sensible increase in taxes to enter into his mind.
This country is worth saving!
