A 22-year-old Escondido man was killed Saturday when his car ran off the road and hit a pole, the coroner’s office reported.
Ray Dean Jendro was southbound on Valley Center Road, one mile east of Vespar Road, when he apparently lost control of his compact car. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Life Flight rescue personnel at 6:32 a.m.
