U.S. Asked to End Sikh Training

NEW DELHI — The Indian government asked the United States today to close paramilitary training camps such as one in Alabama where several Sikh militants received training in the use of arms and explosives.
Foreign Minister Khurshed Alam Khan told lawmakers in the lower house of Parliament that the United States should fight terrorism either by closing the schools or amending its laws to prohibit such training.
