Two Pittsburgh men, Thomas P. Balzer, 27, and Kevin M. Connolly, 27, were sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to federal charges of possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine, presumably to National League baseball players.
The two were indicted May 31, following a 15-month federal grand jury investigation of drug trafficking involving major league players.
Connolly drew a three-year prison term followed by a three-year probation. Balzer was sentenced to two years in prison and a three-year probation.
