El Cajon police were holding two transients Saturday in connection with a series of five bank robberies last month in El Cajon and San Diego.
Officers arrested Michael John Sullivan, 26, and Michael Andrew Herrickson, 24, at an El Cajon motel on Friday, a day after the robbery of the East El Cajon Valley office of the Security Pacific National Bank.
Sullivan was being held at County Jail on suspicion of five counts of robbery, two drug-related charges and outstanding warrants for false impersonation and resisting arrest. Herrickson was held on suspicion of providing false identification information to the police.
The five robberies were linked by the use of a note demanding money and the suspects’ simulation of a weapon, police said.
