An undocumented alien from Mexico was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Saturday while attempting to cross Interstate 805 north of Orange Avenue in Chula Vista.
The victim, identified as Macario Mosso Victoria, age unknown, was running across the northbound lanes of the freeway with five other aliens at about 4:15 a.m., authorities said. After stopping briefly in the center divider, Victoria reportedly jumped over the concrete barrier and was struck by an unidentified motorist who did not stop.
