Archive Corp. of Costa Mesa, a major manufacturer of quarter-inch tape drives, said it has signed contracts to supply $4.5 million worth of products to two computer manufacturers and a retailer-manufacturer of computer expansion devices.
The company signed a two-year, $1.5 million agreement with Enconi Inc., a San Jose-based reseller and manufacturer of peripheral products for IBM, AT&T; and COMPAQ.
A two-year, $1.4 million pact with North Star Computers Inc. of San Leandro calls for Archive to supply tape drives for two lines of North Star computers.
And Point Four Data Corp. of Irvine has signed a $1.6 million, two-year pact for delivery of two types of Archive’s tape drives for use in Point Four’s minicomputer systems for small business.
All three contracts were finalized during Archive’s 1985 fiscal year, which ended on Sept. 30, 1985. Shipments have already begun, according to Thomas Makmann, vice president of marketing and sales.
