Costa Mesa : Motorcyclist Remains in Serious Condition

A motorcyclist was listed in serious condition Sunday at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, where he was taken after his motorcycle struck the rear end of a car in Costa Mesa over the weekend.
Costa Mesa police said David Alan Rysan, 23, of Costa Mesa suffered a fractured skull and facial cuts.
Police said the accident occurred at 7:24 p.m. Saturday on Arlington Drive between Fairview Road and Newport Boulevard. Officers said Rysan was riding his motorcycle east on Arlington when it struck the rear of a car driven by Jose Menendez, who police said was slowing down to make a turn
Menendez was not injured, officers said. Police said no charges were filed.
