Westwood : Professor Wins Award

Thelma Estrin, a pioneer in biomedical engineering, has been awarded the Distinguished Professional Engineering Contributions to Education Award from the state chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers. She is director of the department of engineering and science for UCLA Extension and assistant dean for continuing education at the UCLA School of Engineering and Applied Science.
