Amended Statement

Cynthia Brown’s review of Padre J. Guadalupe Carney’s book, “An Autobiography” (Book Review, Nov. 3) makes a statement that I rush to amend.
She says that “The four American church women killed in El Salvador, and San Salvador’s Archbishop Romero, only begin the list.” Just for the record, the list is long, and these latest martyrs are not the beginning of it, but its continuation. After that, Brown offers a review that should interest those who are concerned about our deteriorating relations with the Central American people.
